About meCelia Carl Anderson resides in Kenai, Alaska and holds an MFA from Syracuse University with a concentration in painting. Anderson taught with the University of Alaska for 30 years and directed the Art Program at Kenai Peninsula College for 10 years. She created 18 large pieces for the 1% for Art in Public Places Program across Alaska and has currated numerous exhibitions within the State. Her Paintings, Mixed Media and Fiber works are in collections of museums & universities in Alaska and the Northwest. Her work has been published in multiple books and magazines such as Fiber Arts Design Book 2, Best of Acrylic, Spotlight Magazine, Art Ideal, and Art Star. She has had numerous solo exhibitions in Galleries, Universities and Museums.
